$1.1M in Grant Funding Now Open for Central Texas Nonprofits
Austin Community Foundation supports economic mobility through two key funds
Austin Social Impact News is produced by Grateful Giving, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tech startup focused on transforming every purchase into a force for good.

Local nonprofits across Central Texas can apply for a combined $1.1 million in grant funding through two of Austin Community Foundation’s signature programs: the Women’s Fund and the Hispanic Impact Fund. Each fund will award $550,000 in unrestricted general operating support to organizations advancing economic mobility in the region.
These grants are part of a broader strategy to close the opportunity gap by investing in both immediate needs and long-term solutions. According to the foundation, general operating support gives nonprofits the flexibility to direct resources where they’re most needed—whether that’s staff capacity, programming, or strategic growth.
The Women’s Fund focuses on improving outcomes for women and children. Its 2025 grant cycle will prioritize organizations working in five key areas: housing, education, child care, women’s health, and unintended pregnancy prevention.
The Hispanic Impact Fund supports the economic advancement of Latino communities in Central Texas. This year, it will concentrate funding on early childhood education, health and wellness, job skills and entrepreneurship, and leadership development.
To be eligible, organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits headquartered in or primarily serving the five-county Central Texas region, including Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, and Caldwell counties. Applicants must demonstrate a clear commitment to serving women, girls, or Hispanic populations within these focus areas.
In addition to financial support, grant recipients benefit from visibility, capacity-building opportunities, and connection to a wider network of changemakers. Past grantees have included organizations tackling everything from maternal health disparities to workforce training programs for immigrant entrepreneurs.
What makes these funds especially impactful is their trust-based approach. Instead of dictating how dollars must be spent, the foundation puts trust in nonprofits to know what their communities need most. This model empowers organizations to innovate, adapt, and deliver solutions that are rooted in real-life experience.
For nonprofit leaders, funders, and advocates alike, this grant cycle is more than a funding opportunity—it’s an invitation to move the needle on equity and economic opportunity.
Applications open June 2, with deadlines and details available at austincf.org.
