Nine Central Texas Nonprofits Advance in 2025 Grant Review

Impact Austin moves one step closer to awarding nearly $300K in community grants

Austin Social Impact News is produced by Grateful Giving, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tech startup focused on transforming every purchase into a force for good.

Nine local nonprofits are advancing to the next stage of Impact Austin’s 2025 grantmaking process, each one aiming to tackle challenges across Central Texas in the areas of Community, Education, and Health & Well-Being.

Impact Austin, a collective giving organization, will award $294,000 across three focus areas this year. The nonprofits advancing to site visits were selected by member review committees from a pool of applications submitted earlier this year. Site visits are the next step in the evaluation process, offering each organization a chance to showcase its work and impact on the ground.

Three finalists were chosen for each category:

Community:

  • AVANCE-Austin: Promotes school readiness and parenting skills for low-income families with young children.

  • Harvest Blessings: Offers food, clothing, and community outreach to those in need, especially the unhoused.

  • Hearts2Heal: Provides healing programs for survivors of trauma and domestic violence.

Education:

  • American YouthWorks: Offers workforce training and education for youth and young adults.

  • E4 Youth: Helps underserved students build digital storytelling and creative technology skills.

  • Latinitas: Empowers girls through media, technology, and leadership programs.

Health & Well-Being:

  • Austin Diaper Bank: Supports families with basic needs like diapers and period supplies.

  • Beyond the Grade: Provides music education and mentorship to underserved youth.

  • Girls Empowerment Network: Delivers self-esteem and resilience-building programs for girls in grades 3–8.

Final grant awards will be announced at Impact Austin’s Annual Meeting on June 3. Selected grantees will receive $98,000 each—funds that can help expand programs, reach more individuals, or build long-term organizational capacity.

Each of these nonprofits is addressing real needs in the Austin area, and each one represents the work of people showing up daily to make a difference.

For anyone across Central Texas looking for signs of progress, this is one to celebrate. It’s a reminder that meaningful change often begins with local organizations stepping in to serve, support, and uplift.
